The Abertillery Ladies Orpheus Choir was founded in 1911 and has been an active and vibrant organisation ever since.

 

Currently, we have 37 choristers of all ages who meet on a weekly basis to practise and prepare for musical events. Many choristers are from the Abertillery area but some travel from nearby towns.

 

We represent a diverse cross section of the community – students, homemakers, working women, and retired people. We have different experiences and varied lives but we all enjoy making music together and we value the enormous benefits gained from producing music, for the enjoyment of others.
